Kto oczekiwał, iż pod nazwą Grobbing Thristle skrywają się zmutowane klony Genesisa P. Orridge’a, zaskoczony będzie bogactwem dźwiękowych strategii poznańskiego ensemble’u. Choć GT świadomie wpisują się w continuum określone dokonaniami twórców „20 Jazz Funk Greats”, ich noise’owo-elektroniczne kolaże z każdym kolejnym odsłuchem odkrywają coraz to nowe muzyczne wszechświaty.

Na jednym z poziomów Grobbing Thristle grają stalową symfonią postindustrialnego ziemskiego Inferno. Hałaśliwa zamieć trzasków, klików, laptopowych zgrzytów, „owadzie” zgiełkliwe microsample czy psychotyczne zaloopowane wokale wprowadzają w paranoiczny świat niczym z powieści Philipa K.Dicka. Paradoksalnie, najmocniej przeraża tu element, zdawałoby się najbardziej ludzki i swojski – głos. Otwierające album słowa „So yes I have to go now, so bye bye...” brzmią niczym pożegnanie przed zejściem w kręgi otchłani. To jednak piekło cybernetycznych robotów – to muzyka, która ma sprawiać ból. Choć – szczęśliwie dla artystycznej siły tych nagrań – GT wiedzą jak go dawkować.

Grobbing Thristle z pewnością bliska jest też coil’owa wizja „muzyki lunarnej”. To ten sam rodzaj psychoaktywnych czarów, poszukiwania i powolnego smakowania tego, co skryte za kurtyną codziennego czasu. Pomysłodawca projektu – Radek Dziubek,  wcześniej współtwórca zespołu Blimp (wyrośli ze sceny post-punkowej i minimal rockowej polscy prekursorzy postrockowych fuzji). To od nich Poznaniacy uczyli się, jak opisać kruchość świata odpowiednio dawkując intensywność sonicznego sygnału. Grobbing Thristle udała się jedna rzadka sztuka – szukając energii pomiędzy tym, co „żywe” i „maszynowe”, emocjonalne i odhumanizowane, spontaniczne i skonstruowane, stworzyli własny muzyczny idiom. Co ważne – pomimo eksperymentalnych ambicji, nagrania hipnotyzują też gęstą, tajemniczą, choć często monochromatyczną, aurą. Mroczny, niepokojąco piękny album.

Już jest, nowy album ATUM zatytułowany „Legendy Miejskie”. Album, który stanowi jedną z najmocniejszych pozycji w historii Beast Of Prey! Mamy przyjemność zaprezentować niezwykły album, który składa się w dużej części z nagrań terenowych zarejestrowanych na terenie Jaworzna, rodzinnego miasta twórcy ATUM. Jest on próbą zrekonstruowania najbliższego otoczenia, wydobycia z niego czegoś, co pozostaje ukryte w codziennym doświadczeniu. „Legendy” pomimo swojego osobistego charakteru mają też wydźwięk uniwersalny. ALLSEITS - "Hel" CD (Cyclic Law) ALLSEITS is the Solo project of the german instrumentalist Nina Kernicke known from her recent collaboration with German Drone pioneers Troum of which Nina has also been a recent live member of and her work under her other alias, ALLSIDES. The Album "Hel“ describes the way into the underworld, the listener is guided through various stages on the journey down to Hel, the Norse mythological term for hell and also for the goddess Hel who is said to keep watch over the underworld. The journey begins at the foot of Yggdrasil, the world tree, under which the entry to Hel is hidden. We then ride the river Gjöll, that flows along the human world before it runs down to Hel. Gjöll is spanned by the bridge Gjallarbrù which is guarded by Modgudr, a female giant, who decides who can pass the bridge. Leaving Gjallarbrú behind, the large dog Garm that sentinels the gate to Hel is waiting and at his side sits Fjalar, a rooster that will crow to signify the beginning of Ragnarok, the end of the world. After passing Fjalar Hel is finally reached. This allegoric tale is expressed diligently by Kernicke with the use of guitar, bass, drums and skillful sampling creating thick drony layers of deep and solemn emotions.

CITIES LAST BROADCAST - "The Cancelled Earth" CD (Cyclic Law)  Pär Boström, the man behind the acclaimed project KAMMARHEIT offers us a new and unexpected entity under the name Cities Last Broadcast. The Cancelled Earth album is the result of almost a decade of sporadic field recordings mainly recorded in airports, train stations, various tunnels and under numerous bridges all greatly polished and turned into a refined mass of desolate ambience and subtle hypnosis all engulfed in Pär's legendary signature sound. PERSONA - "Ruines" digipack CD (Marbre Negre) 19 tracks of Industrial, Martial, Noise and lyrical passages from this Dark Ambient and Experimental band from Barcelona, Spain. Presented in a digipak with a 24 page full-colour booklet containing an essay of the concept of ruin along history and artwork by Persona member and art historian Desirée. "Even though we intend to have everything under control, mankind will never be able to see the ruins that will survive them. They will always work as a silent reminder of history". Recommended!

RASALHAGUE - "Theories Behind Chaos" 3'CDr (Rasalhague Music) Packaged as a mini CD (3"), full-color artwork, and 2-page professionally-printed booklet inside a mini clear snapcase. Limited to 111 hand-numbered copies.  I love getting releases like this...hidden gems that catch me by surprise and just completely deliver the goods. The Vestigial debut 3 inch was the same way. You listened to it, and you pretty much knew within the first 4 minutes that they were onto something out of the ordinary and a notch above the rest. And so, we have here Rasalhague. A one man project from Indiana, this debut is a swirling black mass of brooding drones and weighty cosmic doom. Definitely for fans of Vestigial, Terra Sancta, Cyclic Law, and things of that nature. One to keep an eye on.

Z'EV - "Rhythmajik" CD (Small Voices) - This audio material accompany the Italian edition of "Rhythmajik" (RHYTHMAJIK: Practical uses of Number, Rhythm and Sound). Z'EV, percussionist extraordinaire, played his homemade instruments (gongs, hand-made metal percussions, titanium plate, low steel drums). Z'EV proved to be a sensitive and skilled master of his instruments, creating complex rhythms and varied timbres... Experimental percussive industrial music... Don't miss this magical album!!! Z'EV is a pioneer!

Z'EV / RAMONA PONZINI - "Ankoku" CD (A Silent Place)   Ramona's personal touch is certainly her own particular Japanese chant, together with the use of traditional percussion, bells and cymbals from Japan. Z'EV, enchanted by all those elements, asked Ramona for this cooperation. "Ankoku" is a Japanese word which means "deep darkness". For this debut Ramona's voice and percussion was processed by My Cat Is An Alien in their mysterious studio, placed somewhere in Western Alps, adding some field recordings. Those recordings were then sent to Z'EV who has processed them with some of his typical percussion. Z'EV deconstructed the sweetness of Ramona's chants, enfolding the pieces with a darker atmosphere. 5 obscure tracks, structured on charming vocal melodies moving out from a "haunted house". Digifile.

Mastered by Frederic Arbour (Cyclic Law). Comes in a magnificent digifile with a beautiful artwork by Sperber Illustrationen.

FALSE  MIRROR - "North"  CD  (Thonar Records) - North is the second full-length album from False Mirror. Many of the techniques, methods and effects I developed during the production of 'Chronostatic Scenes' were applied. Whereas 'Chronostatic Scenes' dealt with a dreamscape athmosphere, 'North' is much colder and darker. He was always impressed by arctic surroundings and the early expeditions to the poles. This is the mood of the album, like an arctic expedition somewhere into nowhere.

S.E.T.I. - "Corona" CD 2009  (Loki Fundation) Fifth album from Andrew Lagowski's deep space exploration project, S.E.T.I. Active since 1982, Lagowski has notably collaborated with Lustmord on one-off projects such as Terror Against Terror and Isolrubin BK, and his own solo work includes material released as Legion and under his own name. Of all his albums as S.E.T.I., 1994's "Knowledge" has always been a personal top pick, and remains even today among the best sonic attempts at evoking the vastness of the cosmos (and for $4 at Soleilmoon, there is really no reason why you shouldn't pick up a copy right now). "Corona" is the rightful follow-up to it, as it reuses and improves on a lot of the same elements: deep cosmic drones, sputtering digital oscillations, NASA recordings, cut-up radio broadcasts and harmonic waves are all forged together into a richly-detailed 52-min journey to the beyond.
